Assemblywoman Dondero Loop was first elected in 2008.
During the 2009 legislative session, she served on the Education Committee; the
Judiciary Committee; the Corrections, Parole and Probation Committee and the
Transportation Committee.
Assemblywoman Dondero Loop represents Assembly District 5 in
northwestern Clark
County.
As a retired educator, Assemblywoman Dondero Loop is
committed to providing students and teachers the resources they need to be
successful.

Assemblywoman Dondero Loop:
Assemblywoman
Dondero Loop is a native of Las Vegas.
She is a graduate of Las Vegas
High School and received
her B.S. in Elementary Education, M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a
media specialist credential from UNLV.
During
her 30-year teaching career, Assemblywoman Dondero Loop taught at Laura Dearing
Elementary, Harvey N. Dondero Elementary (named in her father’s honor), Rose
Warren Elementary and R. Guild Gray Elementary, and Elaine Wynn Elementary. In
addition to teaching kindergarten, second and third grades, she was also a
librarian. Assemblywoman Dondero Loop retired from the Clark County
School District in 2004.
Assemblywoman
Dondero Loop learned the value of public service from her family, and this
dedication to serving the community inspired her to run for the Assembly.
Assemblywoman Dondero Loop’s mother, Thalia, was a member of the Clark County
Commission for 20 years and served on the University of Nevada System Board of
Regents. Her late father, Harvey, was a well-respected educator in Clark County.
