Assemblywoman April Mastroluca
Clark County
District #29
National PTA Field Service Representative Supervisor
Assemblywoman Mastroluca was first elected in 2008. During
the 2009 legislative session she served on the Education Committee; the
Government Affairs Committee and the Health and Human Services Committee.
Assemblywoman Mastroluca represents Assembly District 29 in
the southeastern portion of Clark
County. The district
includes the area around the Galleria Mall, Whitney Ranch and the cornerstone
of the original Green
Valley master planned
community, built in 1978.
An active volunteer in the community, Assemblywoman Mastroluca
is a strong advocate of measures to improve our schools as well as working to
help children in the foster care system in Nevada.
A little more about Assemblywoman Mastroluca:
Assemblywoman Mastroluca is nearly a native of Las Vegas since her parents brought her to the valley when just six-months old. She developed an
early understanding of the casino industry through her father’s 40-years
working in casinos as a craps dealer and later a slot mechanic and her
stepmother who retired from the industry just a few years ago.
Assemblywoman Mastroluca has been married to her husband, Dan, since 1992 and
they have lived in Henderson
since 1998. Together, they are the proud parents of two teenagers, Kelsey and
Nick. Five years ago, Dan’s 81 year old aunt came to Southern
Nevada to live with them and this experience has opened April’s
eyes to the needs of the elderly in our community. The family enjoys traveling,
baseball games and watching movies together.
Currently, April is a staff member of the National PTA. She works with
state and local PTA units around the country to increase the participation of
parents in schools and with teachers and community leaders to support schools
and work to help every child reach their full potential.
