Assemblyman Morse Arberry Jr.

Assemblyman Arberry was first elected in 1984. During his
time in the Legislature, Assemblyman Arberrry has served in a number of roles
including serving as the Chair of the Ways and Means Committee and on the
Taxation Committee and the Commerce and Labor Committee.
Assemblyman Arberry represents Assembly District 7 in Las Vegas.
Because
of term limits, Assemblyman Arberry will be leaving the Assembly at the end of
this term. His expertise on issues of budgeting and finance will be sorely
missed.
A little more about
Assemblyman Arberry:
Assemblyman Arberry was born in Berkeley,
California, but he grew up in Las
Vegas and graduated from Western
High School. He went on
to receive degrees from Central Arizona College,
Northern Arizona University
and UNLV.
Professionally, Assemblyman Arberry is the President and CEO
of a Canyon Lake Mortgage Company and the President of the Las Vegas Urban
Chamber of Commerce.
Assemblyman Arberry’s civic affiliations include his participation
in the NAACP, serving on the board of directors of Lied Discovery Children’s
Museum and Opportunity Village, and serving as the former chair of KCEP
radio in Las Vegas.
The College of Southern Nevada honored Assemblyman
Arberry with a building in his name-- the Morse Arberry Jr. Telecommunications
Building. He received a similar honor when the University
of Nevada Las Vegas named a wing of Boyd Law
School after him.
In his spare time, Assemblyman Arberry enjoys tennis,
skiing, racquetball, golfing, and boating.
