Web Designer

Assemblyman Bobzien was first elected in 2006. Assemblyman Bobzien served as the Vice-Chair of the Government Affairs Committee during the last legislative session. He also served on the Education Committee and the Natural Resources, Agriculture and Mining Committee.

Assemblyman Bobzien represents Assembly District 24 in Washoe County.

Assemblyman Bobzien has been actively involved in community activities for a number of years. Committed to working with others to make Northern Nevada an even better place to live, raise a family, and retire, he made the decision to run for the Assembly almost four years ago because he wanted to participate in helping to craft state law on such critical issues as education, renewable energy and use of open spaces.

A little more about Assemblyman Bobzien:

Assemblyman Bobzien was born in 1972 to David Sr. and Cathy Bobzien.
His father was on active duty at the time in the U.S. Army, and David
was baptized in the chapel at Fort Meade, Maryland. The family soon
moved to Virginia, where David grew up with his younger brother Brendan. He learned the value of public service from his mother, a
retired public school teacher, and his father, an attorney long active in community issues.

Moving to Reno in 1997, Assemblyman Bobzien began working at the
University of Nevada, Reno as a program assistant in the Planning,
Budget and Analysis office. He was later promoted to Management
Analyst in the classified system where he gained a knowledge of state
education policy and budgets. In 2000, Assemblyman Bobzien was
appointed Campus Webmaster, where he worked with emerging Internet andeducation technologies until 2007. David is past chairman of the Reno
Recreation and Parks Commission, a former member of the Nevada
Commission on Aging and serves on a variety of community organization
boards.

Currently, Assemblyman Bobzien works as a web designer for a
Sparks-based company. He and his wife Lisa live in northwest Reno with
their sons Luca Carson and Finnegan Walker, and their dog Maggie.

outdoors, including running, snowboarding, backpacking, photography
and fly fishing.
