Assemblyman Kihuen was first elected in 2006. Assemblyman Kihuen
served on the Education Committee; the Transportation
Committee; the Judiciary Committee; the Corrections, Parole and
Probation Committee and the Elections, Procedures, Ethics and Constitutional
Amendments Committee.
Assemblyman Kihuen represents Assembly District located in central Clark County.
Representing a district particularly hard hit in this economy, Assemblyman
Kihuen worked hard on ways to help working families and retirees weather
today’s economic crisis while looking to the future.
A little more about Assemblyman Kihuen:
Assemblyman Kihuen was born in 1980 in Guadalajara,
Mexico. His
family first moved to California
where his parents worked as farm workers. In 1993, Assemblyman Kihuen’s family
settled in Las Vegas.
Assemblyman Kihuen graduated from Rancho high school and attended UNLV and
in 2004 he received a degree in Education. He is currently completing his
master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma-
Nellis AFB Campus.
Professionally, Assemblyman Kihuen has served in a number of roles including
serving as a regional representative for Senator Harry Reid. Currently,
Assemblyman Kihuen works at the College
of Southern Nevada as a
Community Liaison/Academic Advisor.
