Assemblyman Segerblom was first
elected in 2006. During the last session, he served as the
Vice-Chair of the Judiciary Committee and the Corrections, Parole and
Probation Committee. He also served on the Elections, Procedures,
Ethics and Constitutional Amendments Committee and the Natural
Resources, Agriculture and Mining Committee.
Assemblyman Segerblom represents Assembly District 9 in
central Clark County.
Assemblyman Segerblom is a strong advocate for the
preservation of historic neighborhoods, elections reform, and fair employment
practices.
A little more about Assemblyman Segerblom:
Assemblyman Segerblom is a third generation Nevadan. He
was born in Boulder
City, Nevada in 1948.
Segerblom is a fourth generation Nevada legislator. His mother, Gene Segerblom, served in the Nevada Assembly for 8 years. His
grandmother, Hazel Wines, and great grandfather, Johnnie Bell, also served in
the state legislature.
Assemblyman Segerblom attended Pomona
College where he studied Philosophy
and
later completed his law degree at the University of Denver.
After returning to Nevada,
Assemblyman Segerblom began his legal practice
specializing in plaintiff's employment law.
Assemblyman Segerblom has been married to his wife Sharon
for 30 years. Segerblom has three children and four
grandchildren.
